Hurricane Hannah continues to sit over
Haiti causing unbelievable flooding. Those in Gonaives,
who went through Hurricane Jean, think this is worse.
The orphans in Gonaives are still safe on the second
floor. The orphans in Cayes are waiting out the storm
in the church as the waters have entered their
orphanages. We are believing that all the other
orphans are safe but no word as yet. Radio stations in
Haiti are asking for prayers because never have they
seen such flooding.
As the night begins to fall, forecasters show Hannah
barely making any move until early tomorrow. People who
have sought higher ground can find no way down and they
are left there to wonder what will happen next. There
are no helicopters to rescue them. We count on
your prayers for God's protection for our people.
Below are photos that Louis took around Les Cayes. The
third photo may be familiar to those who have been to
Haiti. This is the bridge that leads from the main road
over to the Cambry Missions.
Also Dou Dou has made it safely back to Cayes. We
Praise the Lord!
