Haiti Update
Thank you again for keeping Haiti in your prayers. We are
encouraged to hear of missions committee members getting
together to pray for the people. Where human hands are unable
to reach, the Hands of the Almighty can.
Yesterday the UN sent helicopters to rescue hungry
survivors that sought refuge in high places. They had been there
for two days.
These are photos coming out of Gonaives.
Keep Dony and DouDou in your prayers as they are on their way to
will Gonaives. They had to leave their rental car in St. Marc
because the bridge is damaged. They are now on a "taxi" which
will take them as far as it can go, then they'll get on a canoe
to go further into Gonaives; and then get on a motorcycle taxi
to take them further into Gonaives. They'll have to do the same
on the return and then they'll head to southern Haiti.
We know many of you are anxious to know what to do next. We
will let you know soon.
Thanks again for praying. Pray that Haiti will be spared from
the onslaught of Hurricanes Ike and Josephine.
