Imme­di­ate Prayer Request
Louis St. Ger­main, our Haiti Field Direc­tor, informed us yes­ter­day that since Fri­day the west­ern penin­sula of Haiti has been inun­dated with heavy rain. This is a trop­i­cal depres­sion that is mov­ing through the area and that should pass by Wednes­day. This much rain causes the rivers to swell quickly and the sur­round­ing areas to flood.

I thought it would be a great time to put out my July update. I know it is a lit­tle bit early, but it has been quite an event­ful week already and the next four weeks will be pretty full. The last trip to Haiti was a very suc­cess­ful one, which pro­vided a lot of infor­ma­tion for me to use on my upcom­ing projects. I will share more about those later. (more…)

Hello again from the Projects Desk of ESMI. Well, another month has flown by and I find myself late again this month with this update. I really hoped to get this email out last week, but I was in Vir­ginia Beach, VA at the Pres­by­ter­ian Church of Amer­ica Gen­eral Assem­bly man­ning our booth from 8:00 AM until 11:00 PM and never had much of a chance to get the email out. It was a great con­fer­ence and gave us (ESMI) many chances to meet with new churches and orga­ni­za­tions and share the story of the work that we are doing in Haiti. It sounds like we will be try­ing to sign up for more of these kinds of con­fer­ences with other denom­i­na­tions in order to get more churches edu­cated on the oppor­tu­ni­ties avail­able to help rebuild Haiti. Hello again from the Projects Desk of ESMI. Sorry for being late this month with this update. The ESMI Exec­u­tive Team had the oppor­tu­nity to par­tic­i­pate in the Span­ish River Church Glo­cal Church Plant­ing Con­fer­ence last week in Boca Raton and I am still catch­ing up on all of the work that got away from me. This event was a won­der­ful oppor­tu­nity to meet with close to 300 church planters and their fam­i­lies from around the world. (more…)

Well, another month has blown by and we have already seen the first quar­ter of this year pass by. I am not sure about you, but I am so anx­ious to see this long, drawn out win­ter move into spring. We keep get­ting glimpses of it here in Ohio, but then winter-like weather rolls back in. Isn’t this how it often seems to be with the rest of life as well. We make it through a dif­fi­cult time, a win­ter, in our lives and just when we think it is over…spring has arrived, the pings of win­ter resur­face. My prayers are that each you will feel the bless­ings that are in store for you as life con­tin­ues to unfold. (more…)
