Here’s an update from Dony about the next phase of the relief effort:
Whatever ESMI is doing in Jeremie, is also taking place in the South/Les Cayes with Louis. Here is a brief “Merci-Thank you” from one community in the Les Cayes area as they received food supplies.
The reconstruction phase is going to be a long phase. Pray with us that God will provide partners who will persevere with ESMI in the rebuilding of the Lundy Children’s Village so the children can return to the place they have known as “home” for the past 5 years; in the rebuilding of the the University of Jeremie campus so students can continue their studies; in the rebuilding of the high school in downtown Jeremie; the rebuilding of the 17 churches associated with ESMI; in the rebuilding of homes for thousands of families who lost everything; in the rebuilding of Jeremie city…
Here is Gardy St. Paulin. He works with the Restevek (Child Slavery) Freedom Project out of Port-au-Prince. Having seen the property back in May, this is what he had to say as he visited the Lundi Children’s Village for the first time after Matthew.
Today, the team prepared to go to Bonbon.
Tomorrow, Sunday, our brothers and sisters in Jeremie, Les Cayes, Port Salut and all the other areas severely affected by Matthew will gather once again on their church sites for worship. As you gather tomorrow in your own place of worship, will you remember them in prayer? A blessed Sabbath to all!

Prayer has won great victories and has rescued, with notable triumph,
God’s saints when every other hope was gone.
Men who know how to pray are the greatest boon God can
give to earth-they are the richest gift earth can offer heaven.
Men who know how to use this weapon of prayer
are God’s best soldiers, His mightiest leaders.”
