Dear Praying Friends:
Thank you for keeping this team in your prayers. What a great week of ministry they have had! And what a tremendous blessing they were to the people of Jeremie as they served tirelessly until they saw the very last patient yesterday evening.
With the rain falling intermittently in Jeremie, it was very difficult for the bus to maneuver the slippery, rocky roads with passengers. This made it difficult once again for the people at the church in downtown Jeremie to be seen. Then, there was another group of 128 people waiting in Bonbon. Because of your monetary gifts, once again, as was done on Monday, motor-taxis were sent to pick them up. On that day, Wednesday, the team saw 348 patients, and by God’s wonderful grace, 27 people prayed for salvation! To Him be the glory!
With the roads being so bad, and folks were waiting, the pastor of the downtown Baptist church met with the team leaders on Wednesday and asked if they would consider coming to the city on Thursday, their last day. And the team did just that! How grateful we are for their flexibility in serving! So yesterday in downtown Jeremie, at the largest Baptist church in the city, the team saw 440 people. The prayer team was there and an additional 31 folks believed in Jesus as their Savior!
Here are some photos of yesterday’s clinic:
And finally, the team with their last patient, a child, being held by one of the team members. This is also a great photo of both the American and some of the Haitian team members working together, for God’s glory, to serve the sick after Hurricane Matthew. Thank you for being a part of this with your prayers and your monetary gifts!
Pray for safety as the team returns to the US today and tomorrow ESMI welcomes two groups, a medical team and a construction team. Much thanksgiving for these partners who are giving of their time and resources to serve alongside ESMI. God is good! God is faithful!
