I grew up in the Chicagoland area where I now live with my husband, Matthew. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Literature and Philosophy at the University of Illinois at Chicago and am working on my Master’s in Literature at Northwestern University. I taught High School English for three years and am excited to begin my work with El Shaddai.
Matt and I are members at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Chicago where we were married in June 2010. It is through our connection with Covenant that we learned about El Shaddai and their mission. I have had the great privilege of going to Haiti in February 2012 and again, with my husband, in July 2012. We were witnesses to the amazing work that God is doing there. I am the Trip Coordinator for the Chicago Metro Presbytery group and am thrilled to remain connected with the churches and volunteers with whom I have worked in the Les Cayes area.
Nothing has been more fulfilling to me than to see God’s love working in the people of Haiti. My interactions with the adults at the churches and children at the orphanages have been a tremendous blessing to me, and I hope that I can help organizations stay connected with the wonderful things that are happening in Haiti.
